Rajiv Yuva Vikasam is a flagship initiative of the Government of Telangana aimed at empowering the youth from underprivileged communities through skill development, financial assistance, and self-employment opportunities. Named in honor of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, who strongly believed in the potential of youth, this scheme envisions creating a generation of self-reliant, skilled, and socially responsible individuals.
The scheme primarily targets unemployed youth belonging to SC, ST, BC, and Minority categories. Through structured training programs, entrepreneurship support, and soft loans up to ₹3 lakh with government subsidy, Rajiv Yuva Vikasam enables beneficiaries to establish their own ventures and become job creators rather than job seekers.
The application and implementation of the scheme are managed through the Telangana State Online Beneficiary Management and Monitoring System (TSOBMMS), ensuring transparency and accessibility. By focusing on key sectors such as agriculture, retail, manufacturing, and services, the scheme supports a wide array of livelihood options.
